Martin Villanueva

Growing up in Merced and being part of an incredible town that has gone through some great positive changes, has made me a proud and knowledgeable Mercedian.

My first real job started at Merced Community Medical Center in 1987 in the Laboratory. While going to school and working at the hospital, I decided that the medical career was definitely in my plans. After Graduating from Merced High School in 1989, I went to Merced Jr. College to study for an X-Ray Technician.

During my time at Merced Jr. College, I began to really enjoy Math, Science, and Chemistry. I did some research for other careers and found Pharmacy to be very appealing. I decided that this was the career for me. I was able to transfer to the Pharmacy Department where I gain more experience in this field. However, little did I know that this would back fire as far as my interest goes for this change. I realize that now I was at crossroads and undecided with which path to take.

I Graduated from Merced Jr. College in 1994 with an AA Degree in Liberal Arts. A lot of School at that point and working many hours had taken a toll on me. I decided to take a break in my education. I ended up doing a completely different career change.

In 1995 I joined the automobile business and became a car salesman. It became apparent that the career change was a good one. I used my discipline, education and other work ethics to help me with my new career.

In this career, I developed my people skills and self-discipline skills to stay actively engaged in my new job. This was the longest career I held for about 20 years. At the end of the 10 years however, I realized I need another change.

I begin to look into Real Estate because I felt that helping people accomplish one of their biggest dreams of owning a home was definitely a more gratifying feeling.

I passed my Real Estate License in 2005. I then slowly started to make the transition to Real Estate. Real Estate is a challenging job in the sense that you have to go find customers. I couldn’t completely leave my prior job and so I worked off and on until 2009, when I became a full time agent. Again, real estate is like being self-employed and this was a very difficult way of making a living. However, sticking it out and then finally after a few attempts, I realize I had learned how to be more active in this career.

I now am a full time realtor and completely dedicated to helping my customers find their dream home. My main goals are to always listen and help my customers find their home. A place where family grows, special occasions happen, and memories are made.

I look forward in the opportunity to help you find yours or sell yours.

We were referred to Martin at Realty Execs by my mother-in-law, as he helped with her manufactured home purchase. Martin helped us in selling our manufactured home, and is assisting with our conventional purchase. It has been quite a process but Martin has been attentive, accommodating, and responsive to all of our concerns. Highly recommend to anyone!

Martin Villanueva has been a good realtor to us. He helped my mom sell her home and helped us sell ours as well. He’s the realtor we’re going with to buy a home and the one we’re recommending. Martin has advised us on homes, and cleared his schedule last minute for us to show homes.
